Prime Minister Mykola Azarov is set to revive the memory of all the people who died fighting for their country, he said at a meeting with military-patriotic organizations on Tuesday in Kyiv.

"We need to revive the memory of every person who died defending their homeland. Without this it is impossible to establish the state. If citizens do not know that there are times when it is necessary to defend this country, then what kind of state it is?" Azarov said, Ukrinform reports.

At the same time, he thanked the researchers for helping people find information about the victims of the war.

"I want to thank you on behalf of the government and on my own behalf for the work that you do. This is an extremely important work. 70 years have already passed since the end of the war, but, unfortunately, we still have a lot of missing," the Premier noted.
