54 million UAH from the state budget and 40 million UAH from the Kyiv budget were allocated on payments to veterans on the occasion of the Victory Day, director of the department for social policy of the KCSA Tatiana Kostiurenko told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The total number of veterans amounts to about 80 thousand people, and we have received 54 million UAH from the state budget on payments to them," she said.
According to Kostiurenko, this year's payments from the state will amount from 135 UAH to the war participants and up to 2415 UAH to the Heroes of the Soviet Union and disabled veterans of the first group.
In addition, she noted that the veterans will also receive from 200 to 1500 UAH from the city budget.
Kostiurenko also said that this year the city government has allocated one million UAH (100 thousand UAH per one district) to repair apartments of veterans.
