Ukrainians expects an increase in pensions. It will concern veterans and disabled veterans, who have reached 85, and other retirees, deputy chairman of the Pension Fund Board of Ukraine Valentyna Nikitenko told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Starting from May 1, 2013, according to the decision of the Cabinet, the minimum pension payment for disabled veterans of the second and third groups, who participated in military operations during the Second World War, and veterans of the Great Patriotic War, who have reached 85 years or more, is set at the level of 285% of the subsistence minimum for persons who lost their ability to work. Thus, each participant of combat operations and disabled veterans will have pension not less than 2547.90 UAH," Nikitenko said.

According to her, the recalculation of pensions was conducted for 60 thousand of 85-year-old veterans without their appeal to the Pension Fund.
