Ukrainians will be able to receive ten thousand apartments under the rental housing program at 3% per year with an option to purchase, regional development, construction and housing minister Hennady Temnyk told a conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
The official noted that firstly it is necessary to build appropriate housing.
He specified that the participation in this program does not require a down payment and is designed for 15 years. "All financially disadvantaged citizens will be able to participate, but the priority will be given to public sector employees," the minister said.
He added that in total, six thousand apartments will be built under the construction state programs in 2013.
He also said that 300 million UAH were allocated to compensate interests on mortgages, and it allows attracting more than one billion UAH of loans into this industry.
