Ukraine does not exist apart from the world economic crisis, and construction is an indicator that first reacts on fluctuations of the external environment, regional development, construction and housing minister Hennady Temnyk told a conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to the official, this happens, when macroeconomic forecasts deteriorate, and then industrial enterprises freeze their projects on modernization and reconstruction, which are associated with the demand for construction services.
The minister said that while choosing the anti-crisis policy the country's leadership was considering options of maximum savings, like Europe did. "But we realized that we can not use the whole potential of the internal market in order to support the anti-crisis economic. That is why the program to enhance the economic development for 2013-2014 was worked out. It involves attracting loans under state guarantees, which means that it is necessary to provide a real profit," Temnyk stressed.
At the same time, he said that Ukraine can not count much on export, because foreign countries close their markets due to the crisis.
The minister added that the program to enhance the economic development also provides construction and reconstruction of fuel and energy facilities and adjacent sectors, and this will support the construction industry as well.
