The Association Agreement with the European Union is an incentive for reform in Ukraine, foreign minister of the Republic of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The Association Agreement is neither a gift nor a prize. It’s a leverage, which can be used for reforms in governance, politics and economy. This is exactly what will bring Ukraine closer to Europe, the EU," he said.
Linkevičius stressed that Ukraine has little time before the summit of "Eastern Partnership", which will decide on the signing of the agreement.
"The time, left before the summit, is not infinite. Everyone should make every effort to achieve the goals. Everyone should understand that the window of opportunity is now open, but it will not be open permanently," Linkevičius summed up.
