Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych emphasizes the importance of strengthening cooperation of local authorities with representatives of trade unions, public organizations and experts in solving important issues for the life of region, he said during a meeting with candidates for the posts of heads of regional state administrations, the press service of the head of state reports.
"Listen to the professionals and try to take joint decisions in the administration. Such cooperation will be always useful. This is better to involve more wide range of individuals in any decision-making," Yanukovych said.
In his opinion, the involvement of civil society representatives in public decision-making will have a positive result, because they will have information about the "concrete actions of the government."
Yanukovych also stressed the importance of a balanced staff policy, which should aim to attract the best specialists and professionals in all areas of the executive branch.
