CEO of "Gazprom" Alexey Miller is convinced that serious European companies will not be involved in shady deals of reverse gas supplies to Ukraine.
"Physical reverse from Europe to Ukraine is simply not possible - there is no separate gas pipeline. Therefore, there can be just about any kind of "paper" non-transparent transactions, whose legality should be investigated. If our transit gas is used for a virtual reverse, then it is a direct violation, for which they will have to answer. These things can be checked and proved - we already have experience of involving independent monitoring companies in monitoring the operations with our gas in Ukraine," he said, answering a question about reverse gas supplies to Ukraine from Europe.
"We believe that serious European companies will not be involved in questionable gas deals with Ukraine, in which Gazprom's gas is used, and which does not belong to Naftogaz," Miller stressed.
