Azarov: Parliament supports social and economic policy of government

On April 19, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the social and economic policy of the Cabinet of Ministers, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said, opening the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports. 

In particular, the Prime Minister stressed that on April 19, the majority of MPs did not support a resolution of no confidence in the government.

"The worse is better strategy of the opposition failed. Instead, the government received the support for ts course. This is a positive assessment of our economic and social policy," he said.

The head of government noted that the Cabinet expects to work constructively with Parliament and to get a constructive criticism.

Azarov also said that the European politicians believe that the Ukrainian opposition should work in another way. It should work constructively in the Parliament but not in the streets.
