The director of the local organizing committee of the European Basketball Championship 2015 Markiyan Lubkivsky admits that the number of host cities may be reduced.
Lubkivsky recalled that at the moment tournament is planned to be held in six cities (Kyiv, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Odesa, Lviv) in seven arenas (two arenas in Kyiv).
Lubkivsky expressed hope that all the cities will have time to build arenas in proper time, as it is in their interest.
In case of delay of construction of arenas, there are reserve complexes.
Markiyan Lubkivsky said that, according to the requirements of FIBA (Federation of International Basketball Association), all cities must submit projects for the arenas construction in early May.
