The Justice Ministry will present its proposals on resolving the issue of the repeated elections of people's deputies in five troubled constituencies upon receiving the conclusions of the European experts, minister Oleksandr Lavrynovych told a news conference.
"The Justice Ministry prepared such proposals, and they are now studied by the Venice Commission, the OSCE, the experts of the European Union, as well as the leaders of all parliamentary groups for them to express their views on the proposed project. It can not be a change in the existing laws (on parliamentary elections - Ed.)," justice minister said.
The minister did not name the date when these findings can be obtained, but noted that they are very important for Ukraine.
However Lavrynovych believes that the key to solving the issue of the repeated elections in the troubled constituencies is a consensus on this issue among Ukrainian political forces.
