Former Ukrainian Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko plans to go to Poland on Thursday, April 25, where he will continue his medical treatment, KyivPost informs.

"If you promise that you will not stand on the runway in front of my aircraft, I will tell you that I'm departing on Thursday," Lutsenko told journalists in Kyiv on Monday after a meeting with former president of the European Parliament Pat Cox and former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski.

According to Lutsenko, he plans to meet with representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Ukraine on Monday to thank them for their efforts aimed at bringing Ukraine closer to the EU.

"After that I will meet with a number of people who are important to me, and on Thursday I will go to Poland to check myself into a Polish hospital as per the invitation I received from the head of the Council of Ministers of Poland, Mr. [Donald] Tusk," the ex-minister said.
