In 2013, the State Mortgage Institution (SMI) has refinanced 139 loans of 26.6 million UAH, including from early April - more than 100 loans of 20 million UAH, head of the SMI Valentyn Rybachuk said at the meeting with the partner banks, ForUm correspondent reports. In 2012, 1231loan of 293.4 million UAH were refinanced, according to the expert.
The official added that at the beginning of 2013, at the balance of the SMI there have been 5339 loans of 904.2 million UAH, including 51.7% of loans with monthly payment of 1-3 million USD, 29% - of 3-8 thousand UAH, the rest - less than 1 ths UAH. "Thus, with our support, loans are available to families with an average income. Total volume of refinanced loans since the beginning of work of the institution in 2004 – is 8000 to 1.5 billion UAH," Rybachuk said.
In turn, the director of the department of debt and international financial policy of the Finance Ministry of Ukraine Halyna Pakhachuk stressed that a key purpose of the program is cheaper housing for the population and that allows expect the relevance of the project. "There are certain requirements to the applicants for mortgage-support of the SMI, but they can be met," the financier said.
In addition, Rybachuk continued that with the participation of the partner banks, SMI has finished construction of 27 houses for 420 thousand square m; it is more than 5500 apartments worth more than 700 million UAH.
