Cabinet to raise salaries to state officials

The Cabinet of Ministers will prepare a government decision to raise the salaries of civil servants at local governments starting from July 1, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov wrote on Facebook, answering a local official's question.

"With very limited resources, we have tried in the first instance to resolve issues where the interests of the majority of our citizens are affected. But at the latest meeting of government, I instructed the Finance Ministry and the Social Policy Ministry to prepare a government decision to raise the salaries of civil servants of local governments from July 1. Now this decision is being prepared. We must find reserves for the implementation of this decision," Mykola Azarov stated, UKRINFORM reported.
