Ukraine will have to re-sow 500 hectares of winter crops, agrarian policy and food minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk said, responding to questions of MPs during the hour of questions to the government, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to him, weather conditions and late spring really brought a lot of problems to agriculture. However, nevertheless, 95.5% of winter crops are in good or fair condition.

"If you there is necessity to re-sow winter crops, then we’’ have to do it on 500 thousand hectares, while in the last year we reseeded winter crops on two million hectares," the minister said.

Prysiazhniuk also assured that the farmers are provided with fertilizers for spring field works, they now have more than half a million tons of nutrient fertilizers.
"This is 20% more than in previous years," he said.
