The Constitutional Assembly of Ukraine is to consider amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine at its meeting in April, adviser to the President - head of the main department for constitutional and legal modernization of the Administration of the President of Ukraine Maryna Stavniychuk informed.
"I hope that in the coming weeks we will hold a meeting of the Constitutional Assembly. This is not an easy task. We had assumed that the session of the Constitutional Assembly will took place in March. However, the commissions refined their proposals for the long period of time," she told reporters before a meeting of the Coordinating Council for the Development of Civil Society under the President of Ukraine, ForUm learned from the President’s press service.
According to her, not only proposals for changes in the text of the Constitution, but also suggestions on draft laws on local self-government are being prepared.
Adviser to the President also noted that the Constitutional Assembly prepared suggestions for improving judiciary in Ukraine.
