President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych is grateful to the Ukrainian Red Cross Society for its selfless work, compassion and willingness to help everyone in difficult times, as well as for cooperation in the aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster and the medical, psychological and material support to the most vulnerable segments of the population.

This is stated in the congratulation of the President on celebrations of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, the President’s press service informs.

"Today we mark 95 years since the establishment of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, which has always been a reliable support for the sick, poor and lonely people," he said.

Yanukovych is confident that, thanks to the coordinated work, professionalism and devotion to the cause, the Society participants will continue decently fulfilling their civic duty.
