13 billion UAH of VAT refunds paid this year

During the first quarter of this year, there have been paid 20% more VAT refunds than within the same period of 2012, incomes and fees minister Oleksandr Klimenko said during the meeting of the Parliament’s committee on taxation and customs policy, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to him, during the first quarter of 2013, VAT was refunded in the amount of 13.7 billion UAH.

He also noted that there has been stabilization of the positive trend in VAT refunds and there are fewer applications for reimbursement than is actually paid.

Klimenko added that in 2012, 43.35 billion UAH were claimed for refund, and 46 billion were paid.
