Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak considers that a fair of political hypocrisy continues in the Parliament, he said during a meeting of interfractional deputy association "For promotion of freedom of conscience" with representatives of the All-Ukrainian council of churches and religious organizations.
He advised the MPs to follow the example of the All-Ukrainian council of churches, which "operates on the basis of equity and equality, deep respect for traditions and tenets of all religions."
He stressed that the citizens expect from the deputies a "special truth, honesty, indifference and termination of the current situation in Parliament that looks like a fair of political hypocrisy."
Rybak said that he as chairman of the Verkhovna Rada is ready to support cooperation among deputies and religious and spiritual leaders of the country.
