Culture minister of Ukraine Leonid Novokhatko considers that the administrative impact on theaters in Ukraine should be reduced, he told a briefing after the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
"There is a worldwide practice of functioning opera houses. The La Scala, Grand Opera, Metropolitan Opera, Vienna Opera and Grand Theatre enjoy great autonomy. And, as a rule, the administrative impact on them by the Ministers amounts to zero," he said.
According to the head of the Culture Ministry, Ukraine should adopt this practice.
