Parliamentarians from the opposition factions have raised the question of confidence in the government, as they began to fight for the presidency, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said, opening the government meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

"I want people to understand that the opposition raised the issue not because of concern about the fate of Ukraine. Opposition leaders started struggle for the presidential post," the MP noted.

According to the head of the government, it is destructive position. "I want to cool hot heads. The presidential election will start in terms defined by the Constitution, and today's false start of the opposition has zero result," he stressed.

Azarov is convinced that the opposition does not want to take responsibility for the situation in the country. "They signed an agreement with the IMF pledged to raise tariffs for the population, to carry out pension reform, and now they are trying to blame government for that," Azarov said.
