50 Ukrainian settlements remain partially flooded, chairman of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Mykhailo Bolotskikh said during the visit to Kyiv HPP, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Over the past three days, the number of partially flooded settlements in the country fell from 76 to 50. 16 houses are partially flooded in Rivne and Kyiv regions," he informed.
According to him, the situation with passage of flood in Kyiv region, according to meteorological forecasts, should stabilize by the end of April. In addition, he noted that today the threat of flood manifestations in Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi and Ternopil regions is reducing.
"As of today, difficult, but managed and controlled situation, remain in Volyn, Kyiv, Zhytomyr and Rivne regions. Enough personnel and equipment are concentrated here to respond effectively. The current composition of the forces and means, as well as forecast of the Hydrometeorological Center about virtual absence of precipitation in Ukraine next week allows us to assert that the flood situation has stabilized and is on the decline. Possible negative consequences have been minimized due to preventive measures and rapid response," he stressed.
