Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych promises that the government will do everything possible to raise salaries of health professionals by 10% in 2013, he said during the opening of the department of head and neck tumor of Vinnytsia Regional Clinical Oncology Center on Tuesday.
"In a dispensary, medicos' pay rose to almost 3.000 UAH, nurses - up to 2.500 UAH. Certainly, this is not enough. Therefore, we will do everything to ensure that this year it increases by no less than by 10%," Yanukovych said, UKRINFORM reports.
He recalled that last year the average salary in the health sector rose by 24%.
