The official unemployment rate in Ukraine in March 2013 shrank by 0.1 percentage points, to 2%, the State Statistics Service reported on Tuesday, Ukrinform reports.
As of April 1, the State Employment Service registered 571.600 unemployed people, whereas a month ago their number was 589.100.
The number of unemployed who received state assistance in March 2013 was 450.300, and the average size of benefits was UAH 1.194.
The highest number of those unemployed is among women - 301.500, compared to 270.100 unemployed men. There were 325.400 jobless in towns and cities and 246,200 in villages.
In February 2013, the official unemployment rate rose by 0.1 percentage points, to 2.1%
