Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov considers statements about critical condition of Kyiv dam to be speculation.

"We hear speculations about the critical state of the Kyiv dam. However, there is no critical state. I asked the head of the Ukrhydroenergo (Ukrainian hydropower company) about the dam’s state. He reported that the situation is monitored around the clock. At present, the state of any dam or platinum does not cause any concern,” Azarov told journalists during a visit to the Kyiv hydroelectric power station, ForUm correspondent reports.

Then PM added that office of the head of the "Ukrhydroenergo" is located below the water level of the reservoir. "This fact confirms that we are safe. These speculations bring nothing positive," the Prime Minister concluded.
