Prime Minister Mykola Azarov considers that all services have coped with organization and conduction of flood control works, he told reporters during a visit to the Kyiv hydroelectric power station.
"We can state that the country has coped with the abnormal situation. All the services have shown good results. It is impossible to eliminate some moments of flooding from practice, but we prepared enough amount of equipment and people in advance, and all works were carried out as planned," the Prime Minister said.
He also stressed that all the worst is behind us, but another flood peak is expected as a result of the water passage from the northern territories.
"The flood is expected from April 20 till 25, but all reservoirs are ready to get this large amount of water. We are sure that everything will be without negative consequences," Azarov summed up.
