Parliament asks Constitutional Court to deal with expansion of powers of Accounting Chamber

The Verkhovna Rada has added a bill on amendments to the Constitution regarding powers of the Accounting Chamber to the agenda of the second session and submitted it to the Constitutional Court.

As ForUm correspondent reports, 351 MPs voted in favor of such decision, in particular, 182 deputies from the Party of Regions, 80 - from Fatherland, 0 - from UDAR, 35 - from Freedom, 30 - the CPU and 24 independent MPs.

Speaker on this issue, advisor to the President of Ukraine, head of the main department for issues on constitutional and legal modernization Maryna Stavniychuk stated that these amendments to the Constitution will extend parliamentary control over state finances.
