The Party of Regions has already prepared a bill to abolish the parliamentary immunity, head of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov told a press briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

"We have a bill that was considered by the Constitutional Court, and we can adopt it quite easily in the latest version and abolish the immunity. If our colleagues from the opposition were honest telling that the parliamentary immunity should be abolished, then today we can support them in this aspiration," Yefremov said.

He stressed that the draft law on immunity should concern only deputies but not judges and presidents, as this will complicate the procedure for adoption of this document.

In addition, according to Yefremov, he has a proposal to cancel benefits for MPs. In his opinion, it is necessary to establish a special commission, which will include deputies from each faction. They will have to determine a list of benefits that should be abolished.

"But for some reason I have not heard the answer from my colleagues in the hall," the MP complained.
