Peak of the spring flood on the Dnieper River will not threaten the Bortnychi aeration plant, director of Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Mykola Kulbida told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
He noted that according to the forecast of the Hydrometeorological Center, under the expected levels of flood water can only reach the lowermost part of the dam, but no more.
In turn, head of the department for emergency response of the Emergency Ministry of Ukraine Vasyl Snitsar stated that the situation at the Bortnychi aeration plant was stabilized. However, in the future, according to him, it i necessary to carry out extensive work to strengthen the dam.
