Rise in ground water level resulting in partial flooding of areas in 98 cities of Ukraine is observed due to rainfall and snowmelt, the State Emergency Service press office informs.
According to authorities, 57 settlements are flooded in Kyiv region, one - in Vinnytsia region, 16 - in Volyn region, 12 - in Zhytomyr region, 1 - in Lviv region, 7 - in Rivne region.
During the last twenty-four hours, 259 rescuers and 92 units of pumping equipment of the State Emergency Service helped people to pump water out. Thus, 28.910 thousand cubic meters of water were pumped out. During the period since April 2, 879.204 thousand cubic meters of water have been pumped out.
