Ukraine can quickly emerge from the crisis due to the development of modern technologies and science, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during a meeting with the winners of the championship on IT-technologies, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The world situation is extremely complicated. Even if a country like Cyprus suddenly goes bankrupt, it's a powerful message that not everything is in order. The problems, which exist today in the global economy, have not arisen in connection with events of 2005-2006, they were laid 5 or 10 years ago. Respectively, their solutions won’t take 1 or 2 years," he said.
According to PM, Ukraine in the reform process has also been affected by the current situation in the world economy. "That is why we pay great attention to science and modern technology, and we believe that through the development of these areas we will be able to more quickly get out of the crisis. We are trying to find than Ukraine may be of interest to the world, what niche it can take on the hard competitive market and," Azarov said.
He stressed that as the practice of other countries shows, if such solutions are found, the state lives safely for decades.
At the same time Azarov noted that the decisions, made by the government today, are quite complex. "However, fear of making a mistake in these circumstances is a crime, and do nothing, being afraid of criticizing, is the road to nowhere. It is therefore very important to keep taking these decisions without delaying and not being afraid of risks. We are now moving forward. I wish that young people are confident that we have a good future. Today, we are laying the foundation," the prime minister summed up.
