Ukraine needs to revive the cult of science, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during a meeting with the winners of the championship on IT-technologies, ForUm correspondent reports.
"When I was a student, I also took part in various competitions. Then there was a cult of science. The country was interested in science. I dream that one day Ukraine will restore the same atmosphere, when scientists are the most respected people in the country but not premiers and presidents," he said.
Congratulating the winners of the All-Ukrainian championship on programming "Golden Byte", he added that as of today, the IT-technology industry is extremely important for the state.
