Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Ukraine Mr. Pavol Gamzhik considers unacceptable blocking of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
"We understand that the opposition is blocking the work of Parliament, where the laws necessary for European integration, among others, should be taken. This is unacceptable," he said at the round table "The Association Agreement. Terra Incognita?”
The ambassador is sure that the opposition and pro-government MPs have to "find common ground."
Mr. Pavol Gamzhik assured that Slovakia supports the signing of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement at the Vilnius summit of the Eastern Partnership, to be held in November this year.
"I have also been asked: the Customs Union or Association? My answer is simple: if you want to live as you have lived before, then the Customs Union, and if you want to discover new opportunities for your citizens - then the association," Ambassador Gamzhik added.
