Mykhailo Fomenko's team significantly improved their statistics largely thanks to two wins in the FIFA World Cup 2014 qualifying round over Poland in Warsaw (3-1) and Moldova in Odesa (2-1).
The Yellow Blues (675) in the April ranking are ahead of Serbia, Zambia, Bolivia, Paraguay, Australia, Ireland, Panama, Tunisia, Turkey, Bulgaria and the Republic of Korea.
TOP 10 includes Spain (1538), Germany (1428), Argentina (1292), Croatia (1191), Portugal (1163), Colombia (1154), England (1135), Italy (1117), The Netherlands (1093) and Ecuador (1056).
Five-time world champions Brazil (909) dropped from 18 to 19.
The next FIFA rankings will be released on May 9.
