Prime Minister Mykola Azarov instructed first vice Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov to intensify the work on the Land Bank.

"We have decided to establish the Land Bank. It’s time to shift to practical work. Already this year, the bank should become an active factor in the agricultural market," PM said, opening a government meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

He noted the need for the development of agricultural sector in Ukraine and for its provision with quality competitive machinery of domestic production.

According to him, the government has created several sources of financing for development of the agricultural sector and its equipment.

Azarov also said that in addition to decision to establish the Land Bank, since November 29, 2012, it was significantly simplified the procedure of investment in co-production of innovative technology and equipment for the agricultural sector at domestic plants.

"We should maximally use all the possibilities, tools for activation of the agricultural machine building sector. The Economic Development and Trade Ministry, the Industrial Policy Ministry and the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry should now begin the practical coordination of production plans, the launch of projects and their implementation. This is a very large-scale work. I instruct the first vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov to activate it," Azarov summed up.
