Lutsenko's second sentence upheld
The High Specialized Court for Civil and Criminal Cases has upheld the conviction on the second criminal case of former interior minister Yuriy Lutsenko, according to which he was sentenced to two years in prison for negligence in the investigation of the criminal case on poisoning of the then presidential candidate, Viktor Yushchenko, in 2004, Ukrinform reported.

"The court dismissed the appeal of the former interior minister, and upheld the August 17 verdict of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv convicting Lutsenko, and the subsequent decision of the Court of Appeals of Kyiv, which rejected the appeal against this verdict," reads a statement referring to the presiding judge, Viktor Shvets, who read out the verdict.
