The State Agency for Cinematography promises not to allow limitations on distribution of Ukrainian motion pictures, head of the Agency Kateryna Kopylova told a press conference.
"It's not true that Ukrainian pictures are rarely distributed in cinemas... No Ukrainian film, made and ready for distribution, is limited - I promise! The only question is in the number of copies," she noted.
The head of the State Agency for Cinematography noted that she considers domestic films are sufficiently represented in the Ukrainian distribution in 2012.
In addition, Kopylova criticized the current system of quotas fir Ukrainian films in the national distribution in the amount of not less than 30%.
Moreover, the head of the Agency believes that Ukraine has practically destroyed the state system of film distribution, and noted that almost entire domestic film industry is fuelled only by private investments.
