The “Ukrzaliznytsia” State Administration of Railway Transport of Ukraine works out a system of returning railway tickets via Internet, head of the Ukrzaliznytsia passenger department Nina Kostrubytska told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"As for return of e-tickets, now there is a temporary technology, under which a passenger enters certain data while returning tickets. However, in parallel we develop a software to allow to return the ticket via Internet, and the system itself will make a refund on the card, which trip was paid with," she explained.
According to Kostrubytska, a refund will be made much faster than now it is done "virtually by hand".
In addition, the head of passenger department reminded that the same rules as before are effective for return of e-tickets.
"If more than 9 hours are left before the train departure, the total price of the ticket is returned. If less hours - 50% of the cost. If, after an hour passes after departure, only 10% of the travel document cost will be returned," Kostrubytska explained.
