Ukraine and Kazakhstan have a great potential for cooperation, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during the meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov, ForUm correspondent reports.
"We have large potential in the aerospace, energy, transportation, agricultural, technical fields. Your official visit will certainly strengthen our ties and give a new impetus to their development," Azarov noted.
According to Azarov, Ukraine considers friendly relations with Kazakhstan as fundamental relations between our two nations. "Our countries share a common history, economic tasks. We deal now with modernization of our countries, together we find answers to the challenges of the global economic crisis and build our relationships in the interests of our peoples," he said.
Azarov added that the economic relations and trade turnover between the two countries is growing stronger from year to year. "I am pleased to note that positions of our countries are the same or very close on many issues, and this makes prerequisites for closer cooperation in the international arena to support the authority of Ukraine," Ukrainian PM concluded.
