Prime Minister Mykola Azarov demands to improve the quality of provision of administrative services in Ukraine.

"We need to quickly and accurately address the shortcomings in the process of reforming the system of providing administrative services. Cause of holdback is already defined - either heads inability to work or profound reluctance to implement reform," the Prime Minister said at the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to Azarov, 110 administrative services centers throughout Ukraine fail to qualitatively serve all the citizens.

"Most regions have only a few centers in each, some regions lack such centers," he stressed.

The Prime Minister said that the government should adopt a number of decisions aimed at improving the provision of administrative services, in particular, the bill on strengthening the accountability of officials of state and local authorities for violating the law in this field.

In addition, Azarov considers it appropriate to amend the Labour Code, which provides for dismissal of officials, if they repeatedly commit violations in the provision of administrative services within a year.

"The most active role in this matter should take the Economic Development and Trade Ministry and the State Service for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship. I insist on doing no exceptions for officials, no compromise on ensuring legitimate freedom of economic activity," the Prime Minister concluded.
