Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov insists on organized resistance to floods.

"Clearly, the current priority today is organized resistance to flood," he said, opening the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to him, the most difficult situation is expected in the Volyn, Zhytomyr and Rivne regions. "The water level has already reached a dangerous mark in some districts," he said.

PM added that aggravation of the situation is also expected in Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Kyiv and Chernihiv regions. "Moreover, in Lviv region, in the Zahidny Buh River basin, the experts expect the largest flood in the history of hydrological observations," the Prime Minister noted.

He stressed that all resources and forces of the State Emergency Service are on high alert.
