Ukraine has active civil society, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said, opening the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The main conclusion of the bad weather is that Ukraine has active civil society. It is strong, capable and constructive, unlike some opposition political parties, who claim to leadership," he said.
The Prime Minister also noted that some leaders of the political parties were not able to bring people together to face the elements.
"What sort of leaders they are, if they engage in demagogy and demonstrate inability to bring people together for action. In contrast, the civil society can severely criticize the government, but lend its shoulder in difficult times," the Prime Minister said.
Azarov added that Ukraine should intensify interaction between power and society.
