The leader of the Party of Regions faction in the Parliament Oleksandr Yefremov thinks reasonable to amend the electoral legislation through the referendum in favor of the single-seat constituencies.
"I see only one way out of the current situation. In my opinion, we should ask people whether they are satisfied with work of the current convocation. Perhaps, we shouldn't elect hooligans on party lists, whom we have now and who run here in the hall. Perhaps, we should elect MPs in single-mandate constituencies, who would be directly accountable to their voters and work as members of the Verkhovna Rada," Oleksandr Yefremov told a briefing in Parliament on Tuesday, stressing that this is his personal opinion.

According to the member of the Party of Regions, the acting Parliament is unable to pass the changes to the electoral law.

"This issue could be solved through the referendum, by addressing people directly. The rest of options is a continuation of performances, which will be put in the hall under any political situation," Yefremov said.
