Possible ways of cooperation between Ukraine and the Customs Union were discussed during the first visit of the foreign minister of Ukraine, the OSCE chairperson-in-office Leonid Kozhara to Russia on March 28-29 of this year, acting director of the Foreign Ministry information policy department Yevhen Perebyinis informed.

"Leonid Kozhara and Sergey Lavrov discussed the prospects of development of integration processes within the CIS and the possible ways of cooperation between Ukraine and the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan," he told a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.

Perebyinis stressed that the Ukrainian party stressed the importance of finding a model of interaction, which would not contradict Ukraine's international obligations under the World Trade Organization and the prospects for the signing of the FTA with the European Union.

In addition, the foreign ministers of Russia and Ukraine discussed the negotiation process on the Azov-Kerch issue settlement, as well as the functioning of the Black Sea Fleet in Ukraine.
