Tax concessions in Ukraine will be reconsidered only after careful consideration, incomes and fees minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Klimenko told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to him, the corresponding work has been started at the end of 2011 within the interdepartmental commission, which includes the Economic Development Ministry, the Finance Ministry, the Incomes and Fees Ministry.
"Today is too early to say how the situation with the benefits will change. However, we already take an inventory of preferential treatments, including customs ones. We understand that the benefits should stimulate economic growth," the official said.
He said that analysis of existing benefits is done on the basis of such an approach.
"However, it is early to make some conclusions about the nature of possible changes. As for agribusiness industry, it is one of the points of growth of the national economy, and the Cabinet will continue supporting and encouraging this growth. Another question is how it will happen," Klimenko said.
Monitoring of available benefits is expected to be finished in the second quarter of 2013, he added.
"We should not commit any mistakes in this issue. Revision can touch income tax benefit, VAT benefit, excise duties benefit and others," the minister concluded.
