The opposition demands that the government reports on preparations for floods in the Parliament, leader of the Batkivshchyna faction Arseniy Yatseniuk said during conciliation board, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to him, Prime Minister, finance minister, heads of Regional State Administration, leadership of the State Emergency Service should come to the extraordinary meeting with the MPs.

"We ask to hold serious hearings in the Parliament and to find out whether Ukraine is ready or is not ready for the flood," Yatseniuk said, adding that the government needs to report on allocation of the resources necessary to prevent the emergency.

As for the traditional hour of questions to the government, MP suggested that on Friday the Cabinet must account for revenues and expenditures of the state budget. "We will not provide written questions. We will dedicate the time for only oral questions," he noted.

In turn, the leader of the Svoboda faction Oleh Tyahnybok supported the colleague. He said that the government should respond to oral questions of MPs, as required by the Parliament’s Rules.

In addition, the opposition requires to urgently consider the draft on Kyiv elections appointment in the second reading on Tuesday, April, 2.
