Despite the warming in the first days of April, serious flooding is not expected in Ukraine, head of the department for climate research and long-term weather forecasts of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Hydrometeorology Vazira Martazinova told a press conference "Climate analysis of the situation in Ukraine. Forecast for 2013," ForUm correspondent reports.

"There are a lot of talks about flood now. We are pleased that snow but not rain fell last weekend. If it had rained instead of snow, we would have swum in streets. Slow snow melting should not lead to floods," she noted.

Martazinova predicts that the situation will be the same as in previous years.

According to her, in early April, the temperature will rise throughout Ukraine and will reach ten degrees above zero. "But the snow will melt gradually," the expert assured.

In addition, she said that in the second half of April, Ukraine expects cold spell. The temperature will be below normal, some days it can range from +3 ° to +7° with frost at night.
