Preparation of the state visit of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych to Russia continues, foreign minister of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara and Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov informed in response to the question when such a visit could take place and what documents during the visit are to be signed.

"The meeting of heads of our states is prepared not only by the Foreign Ministry. Many of the mechanisms of bilateral cooperation in energy issues and other issues are involved," Kozhara said.

He noted that the meeting of the economic committee at the level of heads of government will take place before this visit.

In turn, Lavrov stressed that currently Kozhara visit Moscow as the OSCE chairperson-in-office, in contrast to the meeting in Chernivtsi, which was dedicated to the Russian-Ukrainian bilateral issues.

"Today, we have paid special attention to Ukraine's chairmanship in the OSCE and the work in this area during the year. Of course, we touched upon bilateral issues, including preparations for the visit and for the third Interregional Economic Forum in Nizhny Novgorod," Lavrov said.

According to him, the issues, to be discussed during the state visit of Yanukovych in Russia, fall within the competence of the two governments, ministries of economic and energy unit, as well as the respective companies.

On March 27, 2013, Kozhara informed that the state visit of Viktor Yanukovych to Russia can be held in the coming months.
