Prime Minister Mykola Azarov considers that the European Union will lose, if it refuses to sign the Association Agreement with Ukraine in the near future, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reports.

"No one will win or lose. Both parties will lose, if we do not sign the agreement," he said.

He noted that the decision, which has been prepared for several years, meets the interests of both Ukraine and the EU. "I am optimistic, because this solution that has been prepared for several years serves the interests of both Ukraine and the EU," Azarov stressed.

According to him, "this will be a very serious defeat, if a large European country does not receive a right to sign the agreement due to absolutely ridiculous reasons."

"This will mean that the Ukrainian government does not want the integration. And the European politicians will take responsibility for this," the Prime Minister said.
