Ukraine is one of the main economic partner for Bulgaria, deputy minister of economy, energy and tourism of Bulgaria Ivo Marinov told a news conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to the official, the number of Ukrainian tourists in Bulgaria increased by 44% in 2012. "Since last year, tourists can enter our country with the Schengen visa and stay in Bulgaria is not deducted from the period of validity. This contributes to rise in tourist flow," Marinov said.

In addition, he said that since July 1, 2012, all Ukrainians staying in Bulgaria (regardless of reason) have the right to a one-year multiple-visa in the next year.

In his words, Bulgaria is actively developing such sectors as spa resorts. "The country has almost 600 mineral springs, 80% of which have medicinal properties. In addition, Bugarioa develops golf. Finally, we have a long tradition and experience of children and youth holiday camps across the country. Gastronomic tourism in Bulgaria, known for its diverse and spicy cuisine, also gains popularity," the official concluded.
